Fading Borders is a documentary-style television series that aims to bring attention to social issues with a human cost in our American neighborhoods but which are often taboo or uncomfortable to talk about. Each episode tracks the local reactions and effects of an unwanted institution, such as sex trafficking, poverty, homelessness, underemployment, education inequality, and bigotry... ultimately following the connections to societies around the world from which we can draw parallels, warnings, lessons, and inspiration. The host takes us up close and personal with victims, front-line workers, policy makers, and experts who explain the causes, ways we can help, and what's still missing in the efforts to combat these problems, strengthen our communities, and continue erasing the harmful borders that we imagine separate person from person and nation from nation.
Development of Fading Borders was put on hold as of April 2015. Any updates will be posted.
