Photography FAQ


When will I receive my photos?

  • Wedding proofs will be available ten to twelve weeks after the big day at the longest, often sooner depending on high or low season.

  • Event photography is usually delivered within one week.

  • Sports team photos are typically ready within one week.

  • Corporate head shots can be delivered within four days.

  • Stylized portraits and other photography have varying timelines. For example, I will make sure holiday photos and senior portraits arrive on time for your needs.

For all categories except for wedding, rush orders are usually available, including day-of digital delivery (premium). Let me know if you have a specific deadline for receiving the photographs so that delivery time can be included in your quote if you need it.

What are your rates?

  • Wedding photography comes in packages or à la carte.
  • Rate cards are posted for all other photography and videography.
  • For custom art, contact me with the details of your project and relevant dates so that I can provide a quote.

Do you shoot in studio or on location?

Both, depending on the desired result.

How long are photo sessions?

Depends. Type of photography, wardrobe changes, hair and makeup changes, lighting requirements, and number of people in the shoot are just some of the time considerations.

A typical corporate head shot session might be 10 minutes per person, whereas a stylized athlete portrait might take an hour to capture. Family and children photo sessions tend to be 30 to 45 minutes. Engagement sessions tend to be 60 to 90 minutes.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A deposit is required to secure your date and time.

50% at booking for photography under $1000. Custom for higher-end projects.

Commercial and corporate camera operation, only, are payable after delivery.

Will you provide a hairstylist, makeup artist, or wardrobe for my shoot?

While I have none on staff, I can make trusted recommendations for shoots in the Phoenix area but not elsewhere. Wherever you are, consider your style and the value that a professional hairstylist or MUA will add in achieving the look you want. I am happy to work with your hairstylist, MUA, and other on-set artists and to provide time for changes and touch-ups.

I will also consult on your wardrobe choices to match the right backgrounds and lighting to your style.

Do you travel?

Absolutely. Travel rates are included in your quote.

Do you accept PayPal?

Yes. PayPal, check, or cash accepted for all amounts. Credit cards are directly accepted but incur an approximate 3% charge to cover the external fee.

What do I bring to my photo shoot?

We will hold a creative consultation before your session to discuss themes, outfits, props, and locations and to answer any remaining questions you have. For most shoots, all you need are your outfits and your personal confidence. If we plan to go long, bringing a reusable water bottle is a good idea.

For adventurous shoots, we will review safety and be sure everyone has the necessary safety equipment and backups.

What printed products do you offer?

Fine art prints, canvas wraps, albums, announcements, and much more, all from trusted print shops with color calibration and proven customer service.

I am working on an easy-to-browse list of print products and formats. In the meantime, contact me with any special requests.
